Major Activities
YAP-II envisages a two fold strategies in pollution control and abatement for Yamuna:
- Implement schemes, which have visible and tangible impact on the immediate improvement of water quality of the river.
- Synchronize engineering and non-engineering components
Specific value-added-components included in YAP-II are as follows:
- PP&A Programmes on public involvement in decision making process utilizing numerous NGOs
- Public Relations / Information Programme in Delhi
- Engineering Technology Transfer (ETT) to ULBs in Haryana
- Institutional Strengthening & Capacity Building of the 15 ULBs
- Capacity Building for NRCD, which is the Executing Agency for the project
- Water Quality Monitoring Programme
