Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (UPJN)
In Uttar Pradesh, implementation of major water supply and sewerage projects is done by UPJN. Works of YAP-I were also implemented by UPJN and they are also maintaining them (except Noida and Muzaffarnagar) on behalf of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
UPJN is the Implementing Agency for the following works in UP under YAP-II:
- Northern Zone: 35.5 kms of Sewers, 2 Pumping Stations, 5.25 kms of Rising Main, and a 14 MLD STP to serve a population of 1,21,425
- Western Zone: 35 kms of Sewers, 3 Pumping Stations, 9.5 kms of Rising Main, and a 40 MLD STP to serve a population of 3,01,190
- Preparation of Master Plans for drainage works, Feasibility Study and Detailed Project Reports for sewerage work for the 8 towns of UP, for YAP-III
- Public Participation & Public Awareness Programme
- Institutional Strengthening & Capacity Building of ULBs
