Delhi Jal Board (DJB)

DJB, the Implementing Agency, under the Govt. of NCT of Delhi was established for construction, operation & maintenance of the water supply and wastewater infrastructure facilities within the NCT of Delhi and intends to use the major portion of the funds allocated by the NRCD for physical implementation of various packages of works for preventing untreated wastewater flow to river Yamuna.

Organization Chart

DJB intends to take up the physical implementation of the following works under YAP-II:

  1. Rehabilitation of Ring Road Sewer
  2. Installation of Bela Road Sewer by Microtunnelling & Pipejacking
  3. Installation of Wazirabad Road Sewer by Microtunnelling & Pipejacking
  4. Construction of New Okhla (Sewage) Wastewater Treatment Plant of 136.4 MLD (30 MGD) with Power Generation on Turnkey basis
  5. Rehabilitation of 2 existing modules (20 MGD and 40 MGD) and Rehabilitation/ Demolition/ Construction of 1 module (12 MGD) of Keshopur Wastewater Treatment Plants making total capacity of 327.3 MLD (72 MGD) with Power Generation on Turnkey basis

For the above works, DJB intends to employ a Consultant to assist the Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) of the DJB.

In addition to above, Public Relations (PR) activity in Delhi will also be taken care by DJB which will mainly focus on operations of the DJB with emphasis on improving the visibility, brand image and public acceptability of YAP- II infrastructure schemes for abating pollution in the Yamuna River Basin.
